As the 2008 Presidential election nears here in America, all of the talking heads in the media keep calling it the “most important election of our lifetime”.

Unless I am mistaken, Is not every election the most important of our lifetime ?

In a representative democracy such as the one in the USA, ALL elections are important.  All of the people that came before us paid dearly to insure the FREEDOM we now enjoy in America.

A member of my family has died in each and every war that the USA has been in since the beginning of this country.  That means my family has paid in blood for the freedom I now enjoy.

That makes EVERY election the most important in my lifetime.
